Justin Smoak has two doubles as Rainiers win 6-2 at Round Rock

First baseman now hitting .311 with Tacoma

ROUND ROCK, Texas — Justin Smoak had two doubles among his three hits and drove in three runs as the Tacoma Rainiers were 6-2 winners Monday over Round Rock.

Smoak now is hitting .311 for the Rainiers (68-62). Stephen Romero also had three hits. James Jones, Ty Kelly and John Hicks each had two hits.

Jordan Pries got the victory, not allowing an earned run in six innings, giving up three hits, one walk and striking out five.

At Everett 8, Vancouver 6

Kristian Brito had a homer and two RBI as the AquaSox (11-14) topped the Canadians (12-13).
