Spokane defeats Everett, 8-3

Nick Gardewine throws six shutout innings, striking out eight for Indians.

Nick Gardewine pitched six shutout innings, helping the Spokane Indians to an 8-3 victory over the visiting Everett AquaSox in a Northwest League game Saturday night.

Gardewine (6-3) allowed two hits and struck out eight.

Spokane’s Juremi Profar hit a two-run homer, doubled and scored three runs.

Everett’s Adam Martin had two doubles.
