Taijuan Walker roughed up, allows eight earned runs

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Tacoma’s Taijuan Walker got battered, allowing eight earned runs in 21/3 innings in the Rainiers’ 12-5 loss to Albuquerque in a Pacific Coast League game Monday night.
Walker pitched a scoreless first inning, then allowed five runs in the second and three in the third. He allowed eight hits and a walk and his earned-run average with the Rainiers ballooned to 5.44.
Nate Tenbrink, Leury Bonilla and Ji-Man Choi had two hits each for the Rainiers, who were outhit 15-11.
