Colorado Springs edges Tacoma, 8-7, in 14 innings

The Rainiers struck out 18 times and left 22 men on base.

TACOMA — Evan Frey scored on a throwing error in the 14th inning as the Colorado Springs Sky Sox earned an 8-7 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers on Thursday.

The Rainiers tied the score in the eighth, but struck out 18 times and left 22 runners on base.

At Tri-City 2, Everett 1

David Bergin doubled in Sam Bumpers in the seventh inning as the Tri-City Dust Devils edged the Everett AquaSox.

Everett’s Phillips Castillo homered in the second.
