Three Tacoma Rainiers pitchers combine to shut out Nashville in PCL play

Andrew Carraway gets the victory after seven strong innings

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Andrew Carraway and two Tacoma relievers shut out Nashville in a 9-0 victory Monday night that gave the Rainiers a four-game sweep.

Carraway (3-4) went seven innings, giving up six hits with two strikeouts and a walk. Brandon Maurer gave up a walk and a hit in one inning of relief, and Carson Smith was perfect in his inning of relief for the Rainiers.

Gabriel Noriega had three hits, including a double, and two RBI for Tacoma.

After Todd Glaesmann hit a two-run homer in the first for the Hops (3-1), the AquaSox (1-3) fell apart with an error, two wild pitches and allowed a steal of home to fall behind 4-0.
