Albuquerque defeats Rainiers

Former Mariner Alex Liddi hit a tiebreaking solo homer in the fourth inning and the Albuquerque Isotopes went on to beat the Tacoma Rainiers 7-2 Saturday night in a Pacific Coast League game at Cheney Stadium.

TACOMA — Former Mariner Alex Liddi hit a tiebreaking solo homer in the fourth inning and the Albuquerque Isotopes went on to beat the Tacoma Rainiers 7-2 Saturday night in a Pacific Coast League game at Cheney Stadium.

Xavier Avery homered and had three hits for the Rainiers (25-36). Jesus Sucre had two hits, including a run-scoring triple in the seventh inning.
