Rainiers fall to Reno, 11-7

The Tacoma Rainiers had plenty of offense Friday night, but not enough to overcome the Reno Aces, losing 11-7 in a Pacific Coast League game.

RENO, Nev. — The Tacoma Rainiers had plenty of offense Friday night, but not enough to overcome the Reno Aces, losing 11-7 in a Pacific Coast League game.

The Rainiers scored twice in the top of the first inning, but Reno responded in the bottom half of the inning when Andy Marte hit a grand slam off James Gillheeney.

Ty Kelly had three of Tacoma’s 11 hits.
