Las Vegas pounds Tacoma, 11-3

The Tacoma Rainiers allowed five runs in the first inning and it got worse from there in an 11-3 loss to the Las Vegas 51s in a Pacific Coast League game Saturday night.

LAS VEGAS — The Tacoma Rainiers allowed five runs in the first inning and it got worse from there in an 11-3 loss to the Las Vegas 51s in a Pacific Coast League game Saturday night.

Rainiers starter Chance Ruffin allowed six earned runs in 22 / 3 innings on four hits and five walks.

Catcher Taylor Teagarden hit a pair of home runs, a three-run shot off Ruffin in the first inning and a two-run shot off Clay Rapada in the sixth.
