ROUND ROCK, Texas — Round Rock rallied with a four-run sixth inning to beat Tacoma 5-3 in a Pacific Coast League game Thursday night.
The Rainiers (66-60) went into the bottom of the sixth leading 3-1 behind pitcher Taijuan Walker. But he got only one more out and was lifted after two walks and a pair of run-scoring singles.
Reliever Jonathan Arias couldn’t put out the fire, balking home the go-ahead run and giving up another RBI single.
Walker (3-3) took the loss. He struck out nine and allowed just four hits in 51 / 3 innings, but walked four.
Everett 4, at Vancouver 3
Bryan Brito scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error in the 12th inning of a Northwest League game. Vancouver was trying to complete an infield double play that would have ended the inning.
Brito, Ian Miller and Chantz Mack each had three hits for Everett (33-26).
