RENO, Nev. — Reno’s Zeke Spruill pitched eight innings and outdueled Tacoma’s James Paxton in a 1-0 Pacific Coast League win Saturday night.

Tuffy Gosewisch’s sacrifice fly in the second inning was the difference. Paxton (7-8) allowed four hits and no walks in eight innings for the Rainiers (60-48).

HILLSBORO, Ore. — Ben Eckels tossed seven shutout innings as Hillsboro beat Everett (25-18) in the Northwest League.
