Rainiers win on Nick Franklin home run in 13th

Nick Franklin went 3 for 6 and hit a go-ahead home run in the top of the 13th inning, lifting Tacoma to a 3-2 Pacific Coast League win over New Orleans on Sunday.

METAIRIE, La. — Nick Franklin hit a go-ahead home run in the top of the 13th inning, lifting the Tacoma Rainiers to a 3-2 Pacific Coast League win over New Orleans on Sunday.

Franklin and Carlos Triunfel went 3 for 6 and Alex Liddi had a pair of singles for Tacoma (23-15).

Danny Farquhar earned his team-leading sixth save by striking out the side in the 13th.
