WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Rainiers combined to hit three home runs and catcher Mike Zunino recorded his first career grand slam as Tacoma belted their way to a 9-5 victory over the Sacramento River Cats in a Pacific Coast League game Tuesday night.

Zunino went deep with one out and the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning — his league-leading fourth home run over his first five games this season. The third overall pick in the 2012 draft currently leads the minor leagues with 16 runs batted in, and eight of his first nine hits have gone for extra bases.

Outfielder Denny Almonte hit a two-run homer for a 4-1 Tacoma lead.

Third baseman Alex Liddi went deep for the third time this season with a solo shot in the third for a 5-1 lead. Liddi also had a two-run single.
