FRESNO, Calif. — Cole Gillespie delivered an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning to help the Fresno Grizzlies to a 5-4 win over the Tacoma Rainiers on Sunday at Chukchansi Park.

Starter James Paxton had a no-decision in his Rainiers debut. The left-hander struck out six batters in four innings and allowed two runs on seven hits with no walks.

Rich Poythress and Jesus Sucre each had two hits for the Rainiers.
