LAS VEGAS — Mike Wilson and Casper Wells homered and the Tacoma Rainiers pounded 12 hits to beat Las Vegas 8-4 Thursday night in the Pacific Coast League.
The top two batters in the Rainiers' lineup, Darren Ford and Nick Franklin, each had three hits as the Rainiers battered six Las Vegas pitchers. A five-run sixth inning put Tacoma in command.
Luis Antonio Jimenez, batting .313, had a single and double and drove in three runs.
Tacoma starter Erasmo Ramirez (6-3) got the victory, allowing only a pair of unearned runs in five innings.
Everett 4, at Boise 3
Taylor Ard went 4 for 5 with his 12th home run of the season, helping the AquaSox snap a five-game losing streak in Northwest League games against the Hawks.
Patrick Kivlehan's first-pitch home run in the ninth put Everett ahead 4-1. Boise got a two-run, pinch-hit homer from Rock Shoulders in the bottom of the inning before Everett reliever David Holman got the final out on a pop-up.
