MEMPHIS — Luis Jimenez hit two home runs and drove in four runs as the Tacoma Rainiers topped the Memphis Redbirds 6-4 in a Pacific Coast League game Monday.

The designated hitter first went deep in the second inning, hitting a one-out, two-run shot to center field that scored Alex Liddi and gave the Rainiers an early 2-0 lead. With the score tied at 3-3, Jimenez homered in the sixth, scoring Liddi for a 5-3 lead.

Jimenez led the Rainiers, going 3 for 4. Justin Smoak had two hits, including a tying RBI single with two outs in the fifth.

Rusty Shellhorn pitched six scoreless innings, and the AquaSox scored four runs in the fourth inning to pull past the Indians in a Northwest League game.

Shellhorn allowed five hits with seven strikeouts. Taylor Ard and Michael Faulkner each drove in two runs.
