COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Matt McBride put Colorado Springs ahead to stay with a first-inning double and three pitchers combined on a three-hitter as the Sky Sox defeated the Tacoma Rainiers 3-1 in Pacific Coast League play Saturday.
Mike Carp, on a rehabilition assignment from the Mariners, struck out in all three of his at-bats and is hitting .179 for the Rainiers (41-58).
AquaSox rally to beat Yakima
YAKIMA — Taylor Ard hit a tying RBI double and Mike Zunino scored the go-ahead run on an error during a three-run eighth inning as Everett rallied to beat Yakima 6-3 in the Northwest League.
Marcus Littlewood homered for the AquaSox (27-9) and Zunino went 2 for 5, dropping his average to .448.
