TACOMA — Carlos Triunfel and Mike Carp drove in five runs apiece as the Tacoma Rainiers hammered the Colorado Springs Sky Sox 16-9 Saturday night in a Pacific Coast League game at Cheney Stadium.

Triunfel went 4 for 5 with a three-run homer and four runs scored. Guillermo Quiroz also hit a three-run homer for the Rainiers (40-52).

In all, Tacoma racked up 19 hits in the game, while Colorado Springs managed 13.

Charlie Blackmon drove in four runs for Colorado Springs (46-46).

AquaSox sweep

Everett swept its doubleheader at home against Tri-City in Northwest League action. Mike Zunino, the Mariners' first-round draft pick, started the first game, a 6-3 win, and had a double and a walk. But he sat out the second game, a 5-1 victory.

The two teams face off again Sunday at 4:05 again in Everett.
