SALT LAKE CITY — Carlos Peguero hit a grand slam, his fifth straight game with a homer, to help Tacoma to a 6-5 victory over Salt Lake in a Pacific Coast League game Wednesday night.

Peguero's third-inning slam gave the Rainiers a 5-0 lead, and Mike Wilson's RBI ground out in the fifth made it 6-0.

Tacoma's Brian Sweeney (4-2) allowed four runs on five hits. Sweeney took a no-hitter into the fifth inning before Matt Long homered to right with one out.

Eugene 9, Everett 1

Justin Hancock allowed one hit in five innings to help the Emeralds in a Northwest League victory over the AquaSox.

Marcus Littlewood's seventh-inning single drove in Everett's run.
