TACOMA — Luis Antonio Jimenez hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning, powering the Tacoma Rainiers to a 6-4 Pacific Coast League win over the Reno Aces Friday night before 5,696 at Cheney Stadium.

Nick Franklin led off the fifth with a single and scored on the one-out blast to right by Jimenez, putting Tacoma ahead 5-1. It was the 12th homer for the Rainiers' DH, who also hit his 19th double.

Vinnie Catricala added a solo homer in the eighth inning for the Rainiers (31-43).

On Saturday, left-hander Danny Hultzen will make his first start for the Rainiers at Colorado Springs after being called up this week from AA Jackson. Hultzen went 8-3 with a 1.19 earned-run average in the Southern League, where he finished with 26-2/3 consecutive scoreless innings.
