TACOMA — Joe Martinez combined with two relievers on a seven-hitter as Reno beat the Tacoma Rainiers 9-0 in a Pacific Coast League game Wednesday night before 3,489 at Cheney Stadium.

Stephen Drew, on a rehab assignment for the Arizona Diamondbacks, hit a three-run homer for the Aces. Ryan Wheeler added a solo shot for Reno.

Jarrett Grube (0-4) allowed six runs in five innings to take the loss for the Rainiers (29-43).

Carlos Peguero and Vinnie Catricala each had two hits for Tacoma, but the Rainiers went 0 for 11 with runners in scoring position and stranded nine runners.
