Rainiers outfielder Mike Wilson named PCL Player of the Week

The 26-year-old batted .500 with four home runs and eight RBI over the past six games for Tacoma.

Mike Wilson became the second Rainiers player to earn a weekly honor from the Pacific Coast League Monday when the league announced he was selected the PCL Player of the Week.

Over the Rainiers' last six games, Wilson had a .500 average with four home runs, two doubles, and eight runs batted . Wilson, a second-round pick from Tulsa, Okla. in the 2001 draft, is batting .297 with five home runs and 16 RBI.

Tacoma's other award winner this season was Erasmo Ramirez, who earned Pitcher of the Week on June 4.

• First baseman Taylor Ard knocked in two runs on two hits to lead the Everett AquaSox (3-1) to a 7-2 win over the Tri-City Dust Devils (1-3) in Pasco on Monday night.
