WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Brandon Hicks drove in three runs with a homer and a double and Graham Godfrey pitched 7-2/3 strong innings as the Sacramento River Cats beat the Tacoma Rainiers 5-2 Friday night in a Pacific Coast League game.

Mike Wilson homered for Tacoma (27-41), and Vinnie Catricala had a run-scoring double.

AquaSox win

PASCO — Christopher Taylor scored the tie-breaking run in the sixth inning on an error as the Everett AquaSox beat the Tri-City Dust Devils 2-1 in their Northwest League season opener.

Victor Sanchez pitched six strong innings for the win, and Oliver Garcia got the save.
