TACOMA — Former Mariner David Pauley combined with three relievers on a three-hit shutout as the Salt Lake Bees defeated the Tacoma Rainiers 2-0 in a Pacific Coast League game Friday night before 6,060 fans at Cheney Stadium.

Erasmo Ramirez (3-2) took a no-hitter into the eighth inning for Tacoma (24-37). With two outs, Doug Deeds hit an infield single and Drew Heid then homered for Salt Lake (32-30).

Pauley allowed one hit in six innings, walking two and striking out three. Kevin Johnson (1-2) got the win with one inning of two-hit relief. Francisco Rodriguez pitched a perfect eighth and Ryan Brasier got his seventh save.
