Rainiers lose to Salt Lake, 8-2
Luis Antonio Jimenez and Guillermo Quiroz homered for Tacoma, but four Salt Lake pitchers kept the Rainiers' bats mostly quiet.
TACOMA — Home runs by Luis Antonio Jimenez and Guillermo Quiroz were about the only damage Tacoma managed against four Salt Lake pitchers in an 8-2 Pacific Coast League loss Sunday at Cheney Stadium.
Trayvon Robinson tripled and singled for the Rainiers (2-2), who had eight hits but went 0 for 5 with runners in scoring position.
Right-hander Forrest Snow (0-1), from Lakeside School and the University of Washington, took the loss, allowing five hits, five walks and four runs in five innings.
