Mariners Fanfest returns to Safeco on Saturday and Sunday

Fans fans can swing a bat used by Ichiro and much more Saturday and Sunday at the 13th annual Mariners Fanfest at Safeco Field.

Swing Ichiro's bat, try on Chone Figgins' batting glove or hit a simulated Felix Hernandez fastball.

Mariners fans can do all that and a lot more Saturday and Sunday at the 13th annual Mariners Fanfest at Safeco Field.

Gates are open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 14, with kids 5 and under free. Tickets can be purchased at Mariners Team Stores in Western Washington or online at mariners.com/fanfest. Parking is $5 in advance or $10 at the door.

Fans can count on several staples from past years, such as running the bases, touring the clubhouse and launching home runs to center field.

Among those scheduled to appear are players Felix Hernandez, Chone Figgins, Michael Saunders and Brandon League; former M's Jay Buhner, Dan Wilson and Bret Boone; manager Eric Wedge; and GM Jack Zduriencik.
