Rainiers stopped by New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS — Jason Alfaro's two-out, two-run single in the fifth inning drove in the tying and go-ahead runs as New Orleans beat the Tacoma Rainiers 5-4 Thursday night in a Pacific Coast League game.
It was the sixth straight win for the Zephyrs and the third consecutive defeat for the Rainiers (46-60).
Wladimir Balentien of Tacoma hit his 23rd home run, one behind Adam Jones for the team lead.
