ORONDO, Wash. —

The Douglas County sheriff says a Wenatchee man was fatally shot at an Orondo campground.

Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal (JES'-dahl) identified the victim in the Saturday morning shooting as 19-year-old Eduardo Lara. Booked into jail on a charge of manslaughter is 21-year-old Jaimie Alberto Calderon-Garcia of Wenatchee.

Gjesdal told KPQ that the suspect said he was partying with Lara and other friends when the gun accidentally went off.

The sheriff says officials are looking at possible charges against others for giving false information at the scene.
