Daily Rant & Rave: What is it about drivers who treat stop signs as optional?

RAVE To UW baseball star Braden Bishop, who recently gave a signed ball, unsolicited, to a Seattle baseball player, 9-year-old Hugh, before a Husky game. Hugh and his Mom wrote a thank-you letter to Braden, commenting on his sportsmanship and great playing. A month later a package came in the mail for Hugh with a pair of well-used batter’s gloves and a photo of Braden making a spectacular catch at the game the family attended. Hugh said to his mom, “I hope I can do that some day.” She told him it was possible if he worked hard, practiced batting, catching and throwing. He said, “No, I mean I’d like to do that for a kid some day.”
RANT To the driver who blasted through a four-way stop barely slowing down. There were three cars at the intersection, you could have done a WHOLE lot of damage, evidently you didn’t care.
