2-year sentence for killing bicyclist near Prosser

A driver who pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol was sentenced Thursday in Kennewick to more than two years in prison.

KENNEWICK, Wash. —

A driver who pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol was sentenced Thursday in Kennewick to more than two years in prison.

The Tri-City Herald reports 21-year-old David Lee Rivera Godinez of Prosser killed Jared Carr in May 2012 near Prosser as he was completing a 250-mile bicycle training ride.

His wife was waiting for him in Richland and knew something was wrong when he didn't arrive.
