Cheap seats for Hawks game are not cheap or even seats

With ticket prices for Saturday’s NFL playoff game in Seattle ranging from $131 for a place to stand to $17,800 for a suite, according to one ticket reseller, Seattle is the priciest venue for the weekend’s four playoff games.

It’s not every day you get to see the Seahawks in a playoff game — as 8-point favorites, no less.

So why not call up 15 of your pals and have them join you Saturday in a CenturyLink Field suite, including catering and four parking spaces?

Better check your credit-card limit first. This bit of Hawks heaven was listed on ticket reseller VividSeats.com Tuesday for $17,800.

On the other hand, if funds are tight, the same website was offering standing-room-only spots in CenturyLink for $131.

Ticket prices on the secondary market bounce around with supply and demand.

But they aren’t for the faint of wallet: Forbes.com this week said the average price for Seattle Seahawks seats, which it cited as $517, makes it the priciest of the four venues in NFL action this weekend. (Topping Denver, Carolina and New England.)

The NFL’s official reseller, www.ticketexchangebyticketmaster.com , showed a variety of seats in CenturyLink’s 300 level for between $160 and $300, with lower seats up to $4,000.

Curious about standing-room tickets? They are what the name implies. You stand in designated parts of a concourse, with people walking in front of you. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea — or in this case, glass of beer — but a way to be part of Seahawks’ history.

Other online ticket-resale sites include www.stubhub.com, www.tiqiq.com and www.scorebig.com .
