On Wednesday afternoon, José Banda, superintendent of Seattle Public Schools, will present his “State of the District 2013” report from 4 to 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium at the John Stanford Center, 2445 Third Ave. S., Seattle. The public is welcome.

Banda will provide a “district score card,” which shows year-to-year growth; rates of graduation; attendance; and reading, science and math proficiency; along with reports on how each of the district’s schools is doing academically.

Banda will give an earlier presentation, sponsored by the Alliance for Education, from noon to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Wing Luke Museum, 719 King St., Seattle. The public is invited; however, space is limited and RSVPs are required to saracircelli@alliance4ed.org.
