EVERETT, Wash. —

Snohomish County paid $400,000 for land it wanted in 2007 for a road project. But now the county says it overpaid. Appraisers said it's wetland, worth only $50,000.

So it's asking the owner of the farm for $350,000, plus interest.

The owner, Kay Kohler, told KOMO is resisting. She says she should not have to pay for the county's mistake.
