PACIFIC -- —

The city council president in the troubled King County town of Pacific, Leanne Guier, was sworn in Thursday night as the next mayor.

She replaces Cy Sun, who was removed from office in a recall election.

KOMO reports ( http://is.gd/cufwlo) during his year-and-a-half in office, Sun fired department heads and police officers and brought the city to the brink of disincorporation.
