SPOKANE, Wash. —

Two people have been arrested in connection with June 29 car explosion in Spokane.

Spokane Police say they arrested 45 year-old Robert Showers and 31-year old Siaosilepelenise Tuaimalo on Friday, with help from the FBI, the ATF and the Spokane County Sheriff's office.

Showers has been charged with unlawful possession of explosives. Tuaimalo has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.

No one was injured when an improvised bomb exploded under a parked car, but Spokane Police spokeswoman Monique Cotton called the explosion "somewhat powerful." It seriously damaged the underside of the car, which was parked near the Monroe Street Bridge.
