SILVERDALE, Wash. —

A Silverdale teen says she was turned away from the Central Kitsap High School senior prom because of her large chest.

Brittany Minder told KOMO ( http://bit.ly/12qSdQz) she was humiliated. She wasn't allowed into the dance until she covered her cleavage with a shawl.

She only stayed about an hour and says school officials "took the magic out of the night." She said the gown was designed for a woman with a large bust.

The school dress code says strapless dresses are allowed as long as cleavage, midriff and lower back are covered. Staff members came up with a solution that allowed her to attend the prom.

Parents Gary and Kim Minder want a public apology from the school.
