CHENEY, Wash. —

Spokane County sheriff's deputies have arrested a man accused of shoving a woman out of his moving car, hitting her with the vehicle, then fleeing from officers before crashing off Interstate 90 near Cheney, Wash.

Deputy Craig Chamberlin says the woman was treated for minor injuries Friday.

Deputies were alerted after the woman called 911 from a car traveling westbound on I-90. A dispatcher could hear her begging to be let out. A pursuing deputy saw the driver slow down as he took a highway exit, push the woman out and partially run her over as he accelerated back onto the freeway.

Chamberlin says the man drove over an elevated embankment in the middle of the interstate, drove across both eastbound lanes and went airborne before hitting a tree and running off.

Officers arrested 30-year-old Aaron Coman for investigation of assault and felony eluding.
