GEORGE, Wash. —

A family of four from Stanwood died over the weekend in a car crash near George, Wash.

The Spokesman-Review ( http://is.gd/fHCdPn) reports their car crashed into a flowing irrigation canal and submerged on Sunday morning near the Gorge Amphitheater.

Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison released the names of the family on Monday. They are 33-year-old Dioselina Buenrostro, 35-year-old Gabriel Ochoa, and two girls, 4-year-old Yesenia "Jessie" Ochoa, and 9-year-old Sandra Ochoa.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office says the family's SUV collided with a compact car at an intersection, then struck a guardrail and plunged into the canal. The SUV submerged and was pulled with the current about 100 yards downstream.

The adults died at the scene and the girls died at Quincy Valley Medical Center.
