Small earthquake rattles northeast Clark County

VANCOUVER, Wash. —

The U.S. Geological Survey says a small earthquake shook northeast Clark County on Saturday morning.

The Columbian (http://is.gd/JjCz4R) reports the 2.5 magnitude quake hit at about 9:40 a.m., three miles northeast of Battle Ground. The USGS says the depth was 1.1 miles.

The shaking was described as weak to light by people who logged on to the USGS website and reported their perceptions of the event.
