Ore. officer arrested at Wash. home in assault

A suburban Portland police officer already accused of food stamp fraud has been arrested by SWAT officers at his Vancouver, Wash., home in connection with the sexual assault of a 5-year-old child.

VANCOUVER, Wash. —

A suburban Portland police officer already accused of food stamp fraud has been arrested by SWAT officers at his Vancouver, Wash., home in connection with the sexual assault of a 5-year-old child.

The Oregonian says ( http://is.gd/bIYxLx) 33-year-old Christopher Warren was arrested Wednesday. He was booked into the Clark County Jail for investigation of child rape.

Last month, Warren pleaded not guilty to unlawfully obtaining public assistance, unlawfully obtaining food stamps and theft.

Warren is on paid administrative leave from the Beaverton, Ore., police department. Beaverton police Officer Mike Rowe says an internal investigation of Warren is ongoing.
