KENNEWICK, Wash. —

A Benton County jury is deliberating for a fourth day Friday in the manslaughter trial of a nanny accused of fatally injuring a 1-year-old Richland boy.

The case against Kelli Jacobsen went to the jury Tuesday after two weeks of testimony.

Prosecutors say 28-year-old was responsible for the death of Ryder Morrison in June 2011. She said he had fallen and hit the back of his head. The autopsy found the boy died of bleeding normally caused by whiplash, not a fall.

The defense lawyer says the evidence is not conclusive and the boy also had problems while he was with his mother.
