SPOKANE, Wash. —

Spokane Police Chief Frank Straub says runners in Sunday's Bloomsday race can expect to see added security, ,especially at the beginning and end. And, two helicopters will be overhead.

In light of the Boston Marathon bombing, participants are asked to report anything suspicious to officers or volunteers at the event.

Bloomsday is expected to attract more than 50,000 runners. Participants will be presented with bracelets that say, "Spokane Stands with Boston."
