MAPLE VALLEY, Wash. —

A woman was killed in a house fire early Friday at Maple Valley.

A spokesman for the King County medical examiner's office, James Apa, says it received a body from a Maple Valley fire, but the name would not be released until an autopsy is complete.

A spokesman for the Maple Valley Fire Department says a couple in a double-wide mobile home were awakened about 3:30 a.m. by the fire. The man was able to escape out the window. He used his vehicle's horn to alert a neighbor to call 911.

The woman was unable to escape. She was found by firefighters who attempted to revive her.

Spokesman Kyle Ohashi says the home was heavily damaged and partially collapsed.

Neighbors told KIRO-TV the 75-year-old woman used a walker.
