VANCOUVER, Wash. —

The Clark County medical examiner's office says the deaths of a Vancouver couple at their home Wednesday was a murder-suicide.

The office said Friday that 57-year-old Cheryl L. Honey died of a gunshot wound to the chest and 51-year-old Robert G. Hedgers died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Honey's daughter Emma Sims told The Columbian ( http://bit.ly/Ya2ePr) that her mother and Hedgers had gotten engaged on Honey's birthday, March 29. The couple was set to be married July 6.

Honey has three other children and was the founder of the Family Support Network International and Community Weaving, a coalition for those who start community support networks.
