Small plane in emergency Wash. landing; pilot OK

A Pierce County sheriff's spokesman says the pilot of a small plane that made an emergency landing Tuesday in a field near Roy, Wash., is unhurt.

ROY, Wash. —

A Pierce County sheriff's spokesman says the pilot of a small plane that made an emergency landing Tuesday in a field near Roy, Wash., is unhurt.

Spokesman Ed Troyer says the woman set the plane down when she realized it was having engine trouble.

The News Tribune reports no one else was aboard the plane.
