EVERSON, Wash. —

Police in the northwest Washington community of Everson say a 79-year-old retired dairy farmer has died in a tractor accident.

Police Chief Dan MacPhee says officers arrived to find a large tractor belonging to Jake Tiemersma Jr. pressed up against a barn wall, still running. The man's body was about 35 feet away. MacPhee says the tractor had rolled over him.

The Bellingham Herald reports ( http://is.gd/II0u4x) that the Whatcom County medical examiner's office found no signs of foul play. The man suffered the fatal injuries on April 18.
