WALLA WALLA, Wash. —

Charges against a man accused in a Walla Walla gang shooting have been dismissed because a victim has stopped cooperating with the prosecutor.

The 27-year-old Milton-Freewater man, Eric A. Nordman, had been charged with assault and drive-by shooting in the gunfire last September that wounded three people. Two are reportedly gang members.

The Union-Bulletin reports (http://bit.ly/ZKLVDT) one of the victims had identified Nordman as the likely driver. But now the victim says he doesn't remember and doesn't want to testify.

Nordman was arrested in September and was released Monday from the county jail in Walla Walla.
