PORT ANGELES, Wash. —

Many Port Angeles High School students are declining to attend school dances because of rules known as "Face to Face, Leave Some Space."

The rules ban back-to-front dancing, which school officials say could lead to inappropriate grinding. Students say the rules also ban party dances such as the conga line and bunny hop.

The Peninsula Daily News reports ( http://bit.ly/13VMUbF) the Spring Fling dance was canceled after only 15 tickets were sold. It's the third dance that suffered from low attendance, which means less money raised for class projects.
