PORTLAND, Ore. —

A Portland police spokesman says officers have arrested a Vancouver, Wash., man and seized three kilos - or more than 6 1/2 pounds - of cocaine.

Sgt. Pete Simpson says officers also seized more than $11,000 in cash late Tuesday night.

The spokesman says drug enforcement officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and got the driver's consent to search it.

Officers found one kilo of powder cocaine and arrested the passenger, 37-year-old Worter Torriente-Vela of Vancouver. Simpson says officers got the man's consent to search his home, where they found two more kilos of cocaine and the cash.

Torriente-Vela was booked into the Multnomah County Jail for investigation of delivery and possession of cocaine.
