OCEAN SHORES, Wash. —

Police say a woman out walking her dog found a dead infant Friday evening in a wooded vacant lot in Ocean Shores, Wash.

KOMO-TV reports ( http://is.gd/IMTmlq) that police don't yet know how the baby died.

Hoquiam Police Chief Jeff Myers says it appears the child was a newborn and likely wasn't born in a medical facility.

The Grays Harbor County coroner took custody of the body.
