SHORELINE, Wash. —

The Washington State Patrol says troopers shot a driver who rammed a patrol car after a chase that ended in Shoreline.

Trooper Mark Francis says it started before midnight Thursday when a trooper tried to pull over a car in Lynnwood. The driver took off and the pursuit ended in Shoreline where the driver hit a patrol car.

Francis says the trooper involved in the chase and another trooper fired. The suspect was hit in the leg. He's been taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with a leg wound.
